The
man to the left is an absolute monster. When I tell you why, you're going to
say to yourself that you've seen 'that' movie before, but unfortunately, this
was real and maybe a movie will released because of it. Anyway, the monster to the left is
37-year-old Devon Omar Epps (You can't make this stuff up!) He was recently
convicted in Stockton, California this past Wednesday for, get this,
bludgeoning and stabbing his live-in girlfriend, Veronica Jones to death and
then leaving her rotting carcass in their bathtub where he continued to live
for six months! That's right! I said SIX months! That is absolutely disgusting!
I'm sure the apartment smelled lovely! I picture it like that scene from Seven
where the whole apartment was wallpapered with those pine tree air fresheners!
So,
apparently, the crime occurred in June 2011, six months before Jones' rotting
corpse was discovered in the bathtub. The coroner's revealed that Jones was
beaten with a metal table pedestal, raped and then stabbed 32 times. Her family
reported her missing in July, a month after she vanished.
During
the trial, Jones' family members testified that they initially had a difficult
time getting police to even search for their missing relative. Veronica Jones'
brother said on the witness stand, "The only thing they told me is that
it's not a crime to be missing, that they have a right not to talk to family or
friends, and she was basically not missing." Who does that? Sounds like
lazy a really lazy police department to me! Or at least one that could care
less about the citizens in their community. That's pretty sad!
Epps
was eventually evicted from his apartment because I'm almost positive that
Jones was the bread-winner paying the bills, and that's when her body was
discovered. He was arrested and charged two days later. The jury found Epps
guilty on all charges, which included premeditated murder, use of a weapon
other than a firearm, rape, murder by torture and corporal injury to a spouse
or cohabitant. All I have to say to that is "Bye, you psycho!" People
are sick and stories like this prove it every day!
