PORN STARS ARE PEOPLE TOO!

Is it fair for a bank to not do business with you because of your career choice? I mean a bank is a bank, right? They're supposed to be a safe haven for your life's savings. To be honest, most criminals, or those making money illegally, wouldn't typically open a bank account, wouldn't you say?

Well, Chase bank, which is actually my old bank that I had to close because there are no Chase banks where I live, have been giving a handful of porn stars a raw deal. How so? Well, adult film starlets, like Penthouse Pet Teagan Presley, "Cougarland" star Veronica Avluv and "Whitehouse Orgy" (great flick!...I mean...So, I heard!) actress Layton Benton, took to Twitter recently bashing the bank over their recent account closures, which have allegedly been connected to their careers of choice. Presley, whose real name is Ashley Erickson, said that her April 16 letter gave no reason for her account termination. Chase also closed her husband's personal account and their two business accounts, including one of their studios Skinworxxx. This is weird because usually banks like it when there is a lot of money coming into their branches. If Presley and her husband had four to five accounts open with Chase, wouldn't that be a good thing? I have to be honest, I'm kind of happy that I closed my account with Chase after reading this. Who wants to keep their money with a bunch of judgmental people.

Presley says that she's upset and in shock that this is even happening because she's not doing anything illegal. As I said earlier, if she was doing anything earlier, her cash would have been stashed underneath her mattress. Her husband, Josh Lehman said, "I've heard three different reasons. When I went into our branch, they said it was the nature of our business. When I called, they said they were closing my personal account because my wife is an 'infamous' adult star. When I talked to my branch again, they said it wasn't because we were in the adult industry but because we did business with a convicted felon." Seriously, Chase bank? Who cares? Does it really matter where the money is coming from? If there is money there, you should be more than happy to house it. I'm sure T.D. Bank, Wells Fargo or Bank of America will be more than happy to house the money of adult film stars. When did Chase bank become a communist bank?

Lehman said that he and others have contacted an industry lawyer to explore legal action. He also said, "We're waiting to see, but I honestly doubt we can do anything. It's not fair. We're a family with kids. We don't do anything bad." It's true! There are hardened criminals out there and Chase is discriminating against those making an honest living when it shouldn't even matter where the money comes from. This is truly disgusting! In the meantime, Presley and Lehman have moved their business to Wells Fargo, where I'm sure they will be better off. Presley said, "I'm really sad because I loved Chase. I travel to dance every Thursday through Sunday, and I loved their fraud prevention app because I might do banking in a different state each day. This is very disheartening."

Obviously, Chase has not commented on the claims, but did you really expect them to? This is a horrible and judgmental decision on the part of chase. I'm sure these adult film stars have pumped millions into the bank. I'm not a banker by any means, but when millions are coming into my bank, why would I stop it? It makes no sense! Whomever is running Chase needs to be put down and taken out of the industry because the main focus of a bank should be money and not the careers of their patrons. Next, you'll see Chase closing terminating the account of a legal marijuana dispenser because they are selling marijuana. That is so stupid!

TO PULL THE PLUG OR NOT PULL THE PLUG...THAT IS THE QUESTION!

I originally wanted to write a rambling today about how people think they own the whole road when they drive, but when I picked up the paper and read this story, I thought that it was incredibly sad. So, I figured I'd ruin your day by sharing this story with you. The girl in the photo above is 28-year-old Grace Sung Eun Lee. She was a financial manager at Bank of America, she was living in Manhattan and training to run the New York City marathon last year, when a month before the race, she fell ill and doctors found a tumor in brain stem. She would move to back her parents' Douglaston, Queens’ home while she received radiation and chemotherapy treatment. She regained some of her strength by the summer, but was still so ill that she could hardly move.

On September 3, Grace had a seizure and she was rushed to North Shore Hospital in Long Island, where doctors put her on a ventilator and inserted a feeding tube. Her brain tumor had resurfaced and she was given months, or even weeks, to live. On September 18, doctors tried to remove the breathing tube to see if she could breathe on her own, but she couldn't. Since then Grace has been paralyzed from the neck down tethered to breathing and feeding tubes, but that didn't stop her from recently mouthing four words that have cause quite a tug-of-war between the her parents and the hospital. Grace said, "I want to die!"

The doctors at North Shore are trying to honor Grace's wish, but her devout parents believe that removing the tubes is suicide, a sin that would condemn her to hell. Grace's parents, who are immigrants from Korea, have gone to court to keep their terminally ill daughter from pulling the plug. The case has virtually put medical ethics and religion on a collision course with lawyers arguing in two courtrooms while she lays there and can't do more than blink her eyes. Grace's father, Reverend Manho Lee, a prominent Queens pastor, pleaded to the judge, "The thought of her dying, my heart tremors, everything goes black." Grace's mother, Jin-ah Lee, doesn't believe that her always dutiful daughter has given up on life, or that her death is inevitable, even though, doctors are saying that it is. Her mother went on to say that Grace was depressed and not in her right mind.

At a recent hearing, a judge ruled that Grace Lee was indeed competent after listening to both sides. She is on medications, including morphine, and Ativan, but her doctors say the dosage isn't high enough to affect her reasoning. The hospital had a psychiatrist assess Grace, and he found her capable of making medical choices. The judge went on to say that this was a difficult decision and that his heart goes out to the Lees saying, "I feel your sorrow, I feel your pain, and I wish certainly that your daughter will recover and should recover, although that is unlikely.....I need to vacate the temporary restraining order and let things move through their other natural course and put Miss Lee in the hands of God."

The Lees appealed the court's decision immediately. The tubes will remain in place until a panel of judges weighs in. To be quite honest, this is a difficult decision! If I was suffering like Grace was, I would hope that my family would have the sense to just pull the plug because if I survive, I will never be the same and that would be more of a hell than the hell that you say I would go to if they did pull the plug. If Grace has lost her will to live, I think the parents should respect her wishes. Yes, it's hard to let your daughter go, but it's better than watching her suffer. This story was just too sad with no happy ending in sight!

STOLEN CREDIT CARD NUMBERS JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS.....JUST WHAT WE NEEDED!

Well, it seems this week was just full rants. Why should the last day of the week be any different? Today, I have no news story for you, but I do have a personal experience to share that really had the blood boiling this week. So, it's obviously the eve of Christmas Eve, and most people are either wrapping their gifts or finishing up their Christmas shopping. Most have done their shopping at a Mall and have been there since Black Friday. There's another population of you who have done your Christmas shopping online, which might be one of the most dangerous ways to shop.

This week, my girlfriend got a call from her bank suspending her bank card due to 'irregular activity'. At first, we thought that it might be from the day before when we finished up our Christmas shopping, and we spent more on that card than usual, but then she went online to take a look at the account and noticed that there was a $600 charge at Hugo Boss, a $700 charge from Piperlime (The Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic), a $50 charge from a dating sight called Chemistry.com, and a new profile on Amazon.com was created using that same credit card number. If you're keeping score, that's $1350 in charges on the account! Are you kidding me? Around Christmas time, someone is stealing money from us? I guess this would be the time to do it, those scumbag f**ks!

Anyway, we called the bank immediately to let them know that those charges were not ours, and they closed down the card immediately, but what an ordeal to file a claim with Bank of America! First of all, is it me or are those automated bank tellers annoying as hell? Secondly, when you finally get to someone real, do they even hire anyone who's not Indian anymore? What a nightmare! So, now we have to wait between ten to twenty days for that money to be put back into the account, and we're without a debit card for almost two weeks! Just what we needed around the holidays!

I needed to find these douchebags who did this to us, so I took it upon myself to call Hugo Boss to let them know that our credit card had been compromised. The snooty lady on the other end asked for the billing name and address, which I felt was irrelevant at the time, but I guess she needed it. So, when she finally came back, she said that the billing address did not match the shipping address, so I asked where it was being shipped and to whom? She said that by law, she can't give that information out. Okay, well, by law, our credit card shouldn't be compromised either, but that motherf**ker has all of our information including our address and she couldn't tell us where it was being shipped to? This was getting aggravating! Next, I called Piperlime, and went through the same motions, but the girl on that end showed us some sympathy, by at least, telling us that the shipment was going to Massachusetts! Probably to a bunch of dumb Red Sox fans! That shipment was stopped! Finally, we called the dating service and they were about as useless as the Hugo Boss lady, but they did say that the charges had already been reversed!

My only thought was that the card and information was hacked from an online store that we might've done our Christmas shopping at, though friends say that hackers sometimes get into the credit card readers at restaurants, like the one we ate at the night before this all happened. It could be anything and it could've happened at anytime, but why did it have to happen around Christmas? Luckily, we're getting everything back, and the thieves will be getting nothing shipped to them for Christmas except a knock on the door from the police because we filed a report with our police department, which subpoenas the stores in question to get the thieves information. Lesson learned, and I these a**holes get theirs for Christmas! Oh, by the way, Merry Christmas, everyone!!!!
