DON'TCHOO PHOTOBOMB US!

First off, my apologies now; this will be the last blog for a week. Buzzkill Tim is a getting some much needed time off, but I do really appreciate you for tuning in every day. Now, wanting to leave you off with a bang, I did find a story about a Geek Squad employee, who stole some girl's nude photos off of her laptop and distributed them online, but then this story came up and I had to write about it because you've done it and I've done it.

We've all photobombed someone's picture before right? You know, where you jump into someone else's posed photo without them knowing it. Well, these three monsters decided to give an innocent man a beat down for accidentally photobombing their picture. That's right! Terrell Moore, Lindsye Newton and Bryanna Warren from Denver, Colorado are facing charges for beating a man unconscious after he accidentally stepped into the frame of one of their photos. The unidentified victim suffered facial damage, intracranial hemorrhaging and permanent blindness in his right eye.

The incident happened in the early morning hours of May 11, when the man accidentally stepped into the shot outside a bar and infuriated Bryanna Warren, who began arguing with and pushing the man around. The man would push back to get the intoxicated Warren off of him, but Warren and her buddy, Lindsye Newton decided to trail the victim, while lobbing insults at him and belittling him. For what? Accidentally, stepping into your shot? These two needed to get over themselves. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! It's not like the guy stepped into their shot and threw out "Jazz Hands" or something. Anyway, the man would eventually grow tired of the insults and this time pushed both women away. This is when their male friend, Terrell Moore, stepped in and allegedly punched the victim unconscious.

A police officer, who witnessed the blow, tried to protect the sprawled out man, but Newton kept pummeling him with her purse, even though the guy was already out cold. Kick him while he's down, you piece of crap! Moore is being charged with second-degree assault and causing serious bodily injury. Newton and Warren are each being charged with third-degree assault on an at-risk adult "for allegedly continuing to assault the victim while he was lying unconscious on the ground." The trio is set to appear in a Denver Courtroom on August 22 and 23.

I hope these three go to jail for while. Who acts like that? In this day and age of digital cameras, you can take as many photos as you want. If someone stepped in your shot, just hit the "delete" button! It's not a big deal and not worth beating someone up over it. These were just some low-class scum, who have no business being a part of society. Throw them in jail with the rest of the animals if they choose to act like one. I also feel that if Moore was a real man with common sense, he would've told the two women to cut the crap rather than hit a guy for ''accidentally" walking into their shot. Absolutely ridiculous!

GRANDPA WEED

This innocent looking older gent is my new hero! Personally, I don't like the way he's being treated and I'll tell you why in a minute. I have to tell you what he did first, which would explain why he's my new hero. This 87-year-old from Denver, Colorado just got busted for growing a 'forest of marijuana plants' in his backyard! That's right! I said a forest! Not a few plants here and there. I said a 'forest'! 87-year-old, Edward Bogunovich had more than 500 marijuana plants in the backyard of his Denver home, which he is claiming that he legally grew and was allowed to distribute for medical purposes. There were so many plants in the backyard that police are describing the property as a 'forest of marijuana plants.'

Bogunovich, a farmer by trade, was arrested on Friday and is now facing charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 100 pounds of marijuana, the cultivation of more than 30 plants of marijuana, and possession of more than 12 ounces of marijuana. Bogunovich is claiming that his possession and cultivation is perfectly legal since he and three other family members have state medical marijuana documents that allow them to grow and distribute the plant. Bogunovich went on to say, "I was a care taker for 24 people for the last year or two. We did nothing wrong. I wouldn't be stupid not to be legal after doing this for four years." I love this guy! How can you not? He sounds like he has all his bases covered.

Medical marijuana use is permissible in Colorado, but there is a limit on how much a patient can use depending on their condition. Well, that's according to Article 18, Section 14 of the Colorado Constitution. Wait a minute! Colorado has a Constitution different from the rest of the United States? When did that happen? I might want to move to Colorado now! Anyway, Section 14 states that a patient can have 'no more than two ounces of the usable form of marijuana' and 'no more than six marijuana plants, with three or fewer being mature, flowering plants that are producing a usable form of marijuana.' The Denver D.A. says that Bogunovich was growing way more than he was allowed for medical cultivation. He's legally allowed to possess 231 marijuana plants, but Bogunovich was 183 plants over his limit.

Authorities also allegedly found tools and materials in Bogunovich's possession, like scales, packaging materials, and vacuum sealer, that indicate distribution and cultivation, but he did admit to distributing to those he is taking care of. Did they catch him selling to anyone other than who he said he was taking care of? If not, I don't see the harm here in him growing if he has documentation saying that he can. Not to mention, the guy is 87-years-old! Do you really need to put a guy that old in jail for possession? Can't slap him with a fine or something? Come on, people!

Apparently, this isn't Bogunovich's first run-in with the law. He's been arrested for dangerous drug possession on four different instances, damage to property, and possession of marijuana. He's been released on $10,000 bail and has to appear in court on August 16. I'll say it again....The guy is 87-years-old, why would you want to put him away when he's probably going to die soon anyway. Let him keep growing and distributing his marijuana like he wants to. He's not killing anybody, and it sounds like he's only distributing to those who need it and not to those who abuse it. So, I'm not sure that I agree with such a harsh punishment on this one.

WHY CAN'T THIS HAPPEN TO ME?

Wouldn't it be cool if you banged your head on something one day and just woke up the next day a different person? That's kind of what happened to Derek Amato of Denver, Colorado. Six years ago, he hit his head hard after diving into the shallow end of a pool. Days later, he sat down at a piano and discovered he was a musical genius! WHAT? Why can't that happen to me?

Amato is said to be one of just 30 "acquired savants" worldwide. Each of these savants discovered an inexplicable ability that was unleashed after an incident. He was 40 years old at the time of his accident. Amato remembered the impact being really loud like a bomb exploding, and knew that he hit his head hard enough to be injured. He was taken to the hospital immediately with a serious concussion. He also suffered some memory and hearing loss from the accident.

A few days after the accident, Amato visited a friend who had a keyboard and for some reason he felt himself drawn to the instrument. He said that he remembered sitting down and playing a beautiful, and fully structured, original piece of music that just flowed from his hands. He couldn't stop playing and played until 2 a.m. Amato was quoted as saying, "I could not only play and compose, but I would later discover that I could recall a prior played piece of music as if it had been etched in my mind’s eye."

Here's the kicker; although, Amato's dabbled in playing a little guitar before the accident, he'd never even touched a piano! WHAT? It looks like I'm going to have to start banging my head on things to become a better musician! Scientists are all over this case because rare cases like this open up a whole new realm of scientific exploration, as they investigate how this can happen. Here's the big question: Do we all have this superhuman ability built in, if we could just tap, or in this case 'bang', into it and release it? Now, that would be interesting! It sounds like something out of "X-Men" or something! I wonder what my super power would be. The ability to clear out a room with my obnoxious gas? If that's the case, my superhuman ability has already been unleashed!

A Wisconsin psychiatrist, who researches savants, says that he believes that after trauma, other regions of the brain step in to compensate for the loss of function, which rewires the brain in ways we can't imagine. One kid named Orlando Serrell was hit in the head with a basketball at the age of 10 and soon discovered that he could remember the weather for each day after his accident. Then there's Alonzo Clemens who suffered brain damage after a head injury when he was three. He can create incredibly detailed sculptures of animals in just minutes.

I still think the big story here is Derek Amato who discovered his talents at the age of 40! Amato says that he still gets painful migraines and has lost about 35% of his hearing, but claims its well worth it! He's left his corporate job and has become a professional musician. He's released one CD of original compositions with another one on the way! What can I say? This is simply amazing and I'm officially jealous!

Weekend at Jeffrey's?

In one of the most hilarious stories of the weekend, two Colorado men, Robert Young and Mark Rubinson, were apparently arrested last week in Denver for putting their friend, Jeffrey Jarrett, who died earlier in the night from unknown causes, into the backseat of their car, and driving around from bar to bar using his ATM card to finance their drinking binge. That's right! It was like a scene out of the old 80s hit comedy movie "Weekend at Bernie's".

According to Denver police, Young and Rubinson loaded an unresponsive 43-year-old, Jarrett, into their vehicle at around 11 PM, and drove to a local bar/restaurant called Teddy T's. They left Jarrett's carcass in the car, while they used his ATM card to drink for about an hour. From there, the dynamic duo ventured off to another bar/restaurant called Sam's Number 3, still with their dead buddy in tow, where they drank some more on Jarrett's tab before finally returning to his home and lugging his body inside. The two men, still armed with Jarrett's ATM card, were apparently hungry after all of that drinking, so they left Jarrett's body at his home on the couch, and headed to a place called Viva Burrito to grab a bite to eat. The duo's night was still not over, as after their quick nosh, they were off to a strip club called Shotgun Willie's where the pair withdrew $400 cash from the ATM  machine at the 'pole-dancing palace'.

Finally, at around 4 AM, Young and Rubinson decided to call 9-1-1 to report that they thought their friend my be dead. The cops quickly responded and indeed, found Jeffrey Jarrett's deceased body in his home. Needless to say, both men were taken in on suspicion, and were not charged with Jarrett's death, but they do face charges of, get this, abusing a corpse, identity theft, and criminal impersonation.

Now, I can't condone ever doing this with your dead friends, but now that you know the story, how can you not laugh. Do I think that it was the wrong thing to do? That's an obvious yes, but the hilarity in what these guys did cannot go unnoticed. Why do people think that they can get away with stuff like this? What makes people act the way that they do? Stupidity really makes me laugh, and this is a prime example of it. It's almost like watching my own hilarious reality show! Thank you, Robert Young and Mark Rubinson for making me laugh this weekend, you idiots!
