BEST DAD EVER

You might have seen this story last week, but I had to write about it today because it is absolutely hilarious! So, this is Scott Mackintosh from Utah. You must be thinking why is this guy dressed like this? Well, Mackintosh was so fed up with his teen daughter's too-short shorts that he decided to teach her a fashion lesson that she'll never forget. He stepped out in public wearing his own pair of homemade Daisy Dukes shorts. And that is what you’re seeing here as I still type this with a smirk. 

Mackintosh hacked up some old jeans to create a really revealing pair of skin-tight cutoffs and wore them on a family night out. The stunt was to prove to his daughter Myley (not Cyrus) that the tiny garment she refused to change for something more appropriate weren't as cute as she thought they were. I'm sure Myley's looked much hotter than Scott's here. I'm sure when she wore hers; you might've been able to see both ass cheeks in the back, where here, I'm glad that dad decided to spare us that visual.

The family ventured out to their favorite restaurant, while his wife Becky snapped photos of him donning his ridiculous attire to then post it to her blog. Myley reportedly kept her cool during most of the family night as her dad gave her a taste of her own medicine, but she later refused to join him in an ice cream shop, possibly afraid she'd be upstaged by someone in the same outfit. The images soon went viral, with hundreds of thousands of viewers hailing Mackintosh as "the best dad," the "coolest dad" and the "most embarrassing dad" ever. That is too hilarious! 

Mackintosh later took to his wife's blog to reveal "the truth" behind the viral photos. He stated, "In our family, we have pretty definite modesty guidelines. I'm a firm believer that the way we dress sends messages about us and it influences the way we and other act." Mackintosh, the father of seven, four daughters and three sons, said he takes his brood out every Monday for some family time. Last week, as they were about to leave home, he said one of his four daughters, Myley refused to change out of her teeny-tiny shorts. So, he charged up the stairs and carried out his alterations to his old pair of pants before setting off to the restaurant. His kids didn't notice what he'd done until his wife started taking pictures of him with her cell phone. Myles reportedly tried to remain calm as he strutted around in his skimpy shorts, not even "breaking a sweat" as they went to play miniature golf afterward. She would eventually crack when they went to a local ice cream shop, where she refused to walk inside with her embarrassing pop.

Mackintosh revealed that he wasn't sure if the lesson had been taught or not, but it really didn't matter. He said that the most important thing was that with this stunt, his daughter will always know that her dad loves her and cares about her enough to make a fool out of himself. I have to say that he is a pretty courageous dad to step out in a get-up like that. The lesson was very Brady Bunch-ish, but if he got the point across to his daughter, then I would say that it was pretty effective. Now, where were the photos of his daughter in her shorts? Or is that too perverse?
