After
writing about how those kids desecrated the September 11 Memorial last week by
throwing trash into the reflecting pool, here comes a story about discipline
and a teacher who did something to a kid showing him no respect! I love it! Some of you might say that
it's not his place to discipline, but if the kid's parents won't discipline
him, then you're damn right it's his place!
So,
when Diane John received a phone call from her son's school saying that he'd
gotten into a fight with a teacher, she thought it was a joke and insisted her
son's done nothing wrong until she got a call from a local newspaper regarding
the melee. John gasped in horror when she saw the shocking video footage if
what really happened to her son, 15-year-old Kristoff John, during the March 6
incident at school.
The
video shows the scrawny 15-year-old taking a severe beating from a much larger
teacher at the George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School
in Brooklyn. It also shows the hulking shop teacher and security dean Stephan
Hudson grabbing the boy by his arm, throwing him to the ground and bashing him
twice against the table. At the end of the fight, the boy was apprehended by
school police.
According
to John, the school told her that her son was being the aggressor in the
'little incident' with a teacher, and was told that the school was being
generous by not punishing the boy. Then she was shown the video and now she is
furious and wants answers. The 15-year-old said that the attack left his back
sore for several days. He feared for his life and was surprised that the
teacher had hit him. Since the attack the boy has transferred to a new school.
The teacher in question, the school's principal, and the Education Department
are keeping mum about the whole situation and haven't spoken out about it
all.
According
to the boy, the scuffle began on a morning when he was running late for class.
When he swiped his security card at the school entrance, it didn't work and he
tried to push through. The
nearly 300-pound Hudson grabbed the young man by the arm to stop him, and when
the boy yanked his arm away, Hudson grabbed him again and brutally threw him to
the floor, before dragging him across a table and wrestling him to the ground.
Horrified students began to gather in a crowd and three school safety agents
arrived and also tackled the boy while Hudson walked away.
Okay,
now that we've heard the kids side of the story, and I've viewed the footage.
The kid took as swing at the teacher first after the teacher grabbed his arm.
I'm sorry! Is that okay? When I was in High School I never would've thought to
take a swing at a teacher no matter how much I hated them. It's called Respect!
Do I think the teacher's beating was a little much? Yes! But I am happy to see
it happen because kids today have no respect thanks to parents who don't
discipline like they used to. Take a look at the video and let me know who's at
fault here.....
