I saw this story over the weekend and at first, thought nothing of it...Okay, who am I kidding? My sordid little mind thought everything about it, but was it as newsworthy as the other stories that I found this week? Probably not! Since today's top stories are still about Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts and the super-tight Election, I'll choose today to share this story with you. It's one of those "What the hell is wrong with people?" stories. 

So, allegedly, a woman was caught masturbating in a Florida Starbucks last week while sitting at one of the tables. She was taken into custody when police found a glass pipe with cocaine residue on it in her purse. Police say that they got called to the popular coffee spot by someone who said they saw 29-year-old Jennifer Piranian masturbating. They said, "She was high on crack with her hands going all over the place on her body." According to police, you couldn't tell for sure what she was doing on the video, but you can definitely see that her hands went into her pants when she started to go crazy, as if she was climaxing. The police report stated that the officers also found her in an unstable state. She claims she was dropped off at the Starbucks by her friends and she was waiting to go to the hospital due to an infection or a spider bite that she believed she had. The police offered to give her a ride, but asked to search her purse first, which she consented to. That's when they found a 'glass stem' pipe inside the bag, which tested positive for cocaine residue. 

 Piranian was arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She was transported to Manatee County jail on a $1,120 bond. Does this mean that if she didn't have that crack pipe in her pocketbook, she would've gotten away scot-free? I was just wondering since the officers offered to take her to the hospital and she was only arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia and not public lewdness. Does this mean its okay to masturbate in Starbucks? Or are they saying that she only became lewd because she was high on drugs? Just a thought because when I first read this story, I thought it was more about the masturbation, but then she was arrested for drugs. I'm so confused right now!
