Okay,
so it's a slow news day and there are a lot of 'who the hell cares' stories out
there today, but how about a 'what the f**k' story? I mean, it's no secret that
doing dishes is a pet peeve for anybody, but would you really harm somebody's
health for not doing them? That's what this Michigan college student is being
accused of. 19-year-old, Kayla Ashlyn Bonkowski is being accused of spiking her roommate's iced tea with
bleach after they had a spat over dirty dishes. She is facing felony poisoning
charges for dumping the lethal chemicals into 20-year-old Emily Joseph's drink
in their apartment last month.
Bonkowski,
who attends Central Michigan University, admitted to police that she did it
because Joseph is a 'mean girl'. The roommates were reportedly fighting over
some dirty dishes, and when Bonkowski felt that she'd had enough she tried to
poison Joseph. Police affidavits stated that she knew spraying bleach was a
serious thing. Joseph was treated at a local hospital and released.
Bonkowski
appears in court today and if she's convicted, she can face a maximum of 15
years in prison. Central Michigan University released a statement saying that
they're aware of the situation and are still awaiting a police report from the
Michigan State Police. They also said that they will continue to collect
information and will follow the provisions of the student code of conduct in
addressing the matter at hand.
All I can think as I read this story was "really?" All because you or
your roommate didn't want to wash the dishes, you thought it might be a good
idea to spray bleach into her drink? What kind of sick f**k does that? Buy a
dishwasher or something! Is it mentally possible to hate someone that much to
want to cause harm like this and not think that there will be repercussions? I,
seriously, can't understand people sometimes. What is wrong with people? By the
way, I did warn you that it was a slow news day!
